Candlelight Vigil

Liberty standing tall

More than ever our great country needs our prayers and support. Much of the world is in mourning and shock from the devasting, heartless slaughter of innocent victims by a source of evil that is incomprehensible. Please join our prayer vigil, there is power in numbers and even more power in prayers. If we join them together in numbers that circle this wounded planet, God will surely give back the healing and justice we all need so badly. Every candle lit with prayers will add another flicker of hope . Let's use the power we have to light this time of darkness and despair.

Joyce Bass ~ Sep 11, 2003 ~ Mississippi

Your memory will live on forever...You paid the ultimate sacrifice and you were victims of our innocence in thinking that our Country was safe from Terrorism. You and the Hundreds of US Troops that have given their lives for our Freedom will always be heroes because you woke us up to the fact that we must live for today and hope for tomorrow and never feel that we cannot be touched. We pray for peace and for you to rest in peace until the great homecoming in the beyond. May God protect your families and all of the families in America and give us victory over evil.
"We will win the war over terrorism"!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your contribution to our Country and may God keep you in his arms until we meet again. God Bless America!! Amen and amen.

Richard Rogers ~ Sep 11, 2003 ~ Los Angeles, CA

I have been watching all the things that we have been doing to remember this sad day and trying to figure out what exactly it was that i could do then found this. All though I had not known any of these people so I could not give support to anyone personaly I figured this was what i needed to do. It saddend me to watch all those children reading the names of those who have passed on. But yet at least we are realizing that they to need a way to move on and let go! This was a terrible thing that has happend to this beautiful country! I pray that god may stand beside each and everyone that this has effected and help this beautiful nation rise back to the top! We are a wonderful nation one that will stand strong and hand in hand for life to come!

Anonymous Prayer ~ Sep 11, 2003 ~

Today, I will pray for world peace.

And, I will pray that our children never have to see our Country attacked again. I will pray we will remain strong in the world, and I will pray for the families and friends who lost loved ones in 911. I hope they realize their loss, although otherwise sensless, has made for a better, safer world, and safer USA.

I will remember that throughout history, the battles we have fought on foreign soils, and the lessons we have learned. And the shock of having those battles come to our NYC streets, the Pentagon, and one country field.

I'm remembering what our American Flag stands for, and that it symbolizes freedom for her people. I will remember, too, it is the service men and women in the military, and fire and police departments, who protect us with their lives every day. It is their blood that is (and has been) shed to keep us safe. And, too, the local all-American "Joe, or Josephine" who risks their life, without a thought to themselves, to save a fellow human being.

And I will be thankful, too, that we have a president, George W. Bush, who was not afraid to use our military power to mightly defend us.

911- We will never forget!!! Yes, God Bless the USA!!!

note: Beautiful web site, thanks VERY much!

Jason Lelek ~ Sep 11, 2003 ~ San Diego

I pray for the victims and their families as we all go through another horrific reminder of how precious life is and what we all need to remember. I pray that people realize that we need to continue to fight to protect us from this EVER happening again and to unite behind our president and our military. I pray for all the children who's lives were shattered from their losses. I pray for my east coast brothers at FDNY who stepped up to the challenge and sacrificed their lives so others could continue theirs. What a great example of courage and unselfishness. Christ be with you and may you rest in peace. Never forget and my Christ bless America.

It's been 2 years since I watched the second plane crash into the tower. I still remember every detail and sound of the screaming around me when people scrambled to run away from the falling dust.
New York will always remember this day, and New Yorkers now holds NYC dearer than ever. I know my love for NY has never been stronger.

Lei Lonnie ~ Sep 10, 2003 ~ California

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul; he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.....Amen... God Bless Americam and our Troops!!
