Candlelight Vigil

Liberty standing tall

More than ever our great country needs our prayers and support. Much of the world is in mourning and shock from the devasting, heartless slaughter of innocent victims by a source of evil that is incomprehensible. Please join our prayer vigil, there is power in numbers and even more power in prayers. If we join them together in numbers that circle this wounded planet, God will surely give back the healing and justice we all need so badly. Every candle lit with prayers will add another flicker of hope . Let's use the power we have to light this time of darkness and despair.

Angela and Family ~ Sep 14, 2002 ~ Minneapolis, Minnesota

May God bless the victims and families of this unbelievable act of terrorism. My family sends our prayers to all, including the heroes of FDNY, NYPD and the countless others that unselfishly gave of their time and/or support. Good will always prevail over evil; the strength and love that our great country has shown is testament to that. May God also bless the people from around the world that have graciously sent their love and prayers.

"E Pluribus Unium" Out of Many, One. This is the binding soul of the United States of America. This one statement throws away all the "Me" and turns it into "US". For our People, Friends and Family we will never forget and never forgive.

On this day, i find myself doing something i've never done before, i'm praying for all the people who suffered in the unforgivable tragedy 1 year ago today, It is a day we will never forget, we sat in tears as we watched the massacre of innocent people, myself and my children were in total shock, today nothing else is in our minds except every poor soul who died 1 year ago. May they rest in peace, God bless America and all her people.

Amy ~ Sep 9, 2002 ~ WIlmington Massachuttes

I pray for all the people who lost friends, families, children,Husbands,Wifes, and everyting else. I feel so bad for the people who lost people. I think we can fight through this tough time this week seeing that it is the week of 9/11 and It touches my heart so so so much. When 9/11 happened I was in School and the teachers where not supposed to tell us but they did and I was glad they did. I was very strong about it and but then i just could not be strong. When I got home that day I was not cring yet but i was very very upset to think that someone would do that when they know that we will win and we will fight back until we win. I just pray that nothing else happens it is so sad and I feel so bad. September 11th is my friends birthday and she didn't get that much love and wormth on her birthday I was one of not that many who said to her Happy Birthday. God Bless The USA. I love my country. This Wednesday I am going to write on here again. I was on the North Tower The summer of 2000 and It was awsome and to know that not everyone is going to be able to do that now is sad to me.I pray for the people who made it out alive. I am happy for them, I also want to pray for the New York Fire department they did and awsome job I love them they saved many lives and for the one who lost there lives I pray for you becausee you tried and that is good.I pray for people who again lost loved ones. GOD BLESS THE U.S.A. and GOD BLESS THE WORLD.

Hero Fighter of Fires ~ Sep 4, 2002 ~ Ground Zero, NYC

Patriotic Bobby, You are the best! It's real men like you who make this country proud! I salute you with the hand I burnt in the fires where month-old babies were near death. It's a thankless job that I do but the love for my God and my country is what gets me through. The Wrathful Deity will allow us to breathe easier this year because of people like you: courageous people who are not afraid to eat at Dennys, wear FDNY underwear and fly flags from their cars. Glory to you, Patriotic Bobby!

Patriotic, God-Fearing Bobby ~ Sep 4, 2002 ~ NYC

We will never forget as long as incredibly patriotic and God-loving people like us are around. I proudly (and loudly) play "God Bless America" from the speakers I bought from a homeless man who was selling them in front of the World Trade Center the day before the tragedy. I just got back from having Tarantula Tommy tattoo my eyelids with the words, "Lets Roll" ... no, it's not enough that I've tried to show others the way by pasting every patriotic sticker I could find to my car. My tears run like the water from the firemen's hoses as I think of the tragedy. The reason the tragedy occurred is because we kicked the Wrathful Deity Guy out of schools and because we failed, as a nation, to honor our heroes. Every day I wear FDNY underwear and I have sewn the firefighter insignia onto the 12 flags I have attached to my car. Never again will the Wrathful Deity allow this to happen. He will see the burnt sacrifices that I have been making and he will spare us his formidable wrath. God Bless America. God Bless this great country of ours.

You never realize what kind of people could do such a thing like this. When I reaserched this for a school project I felt more than just knowlege about this tragety I felt for the familys and wonder how this could have happend. When I got home form school that day all I wanted was for my mom to hold me. I have never been afraid to live here until that day. I feel for the familys that lost their loved ones and think may God have mercy on anyone who had anything to do with that crime. I hope everyone involved gets what they deserve. I think that this tragety has only brought the United States close. I know that I'm only 17 and have a long life ahead of me but I do hope nothing like this ever happens again.
