Candlelight Vigil

Liberty standing tall

More than ever our great country needs our prayers and support. Much of the world is in mourning and shock from the devasting, heartless slaughter of innocent victims by a source of evil that is incomprehensible. Please join our prayer vigil, there is power in numbers and even more power in prayers. If we join them together in numbers that circle this wounded planet, God will surely give back the healing and justice we all need so badly. Every candle lit with prayers will add another flicker of hope . Let's use the power we have to light this time of darkness and despair.

Another candle to light the way ...

Kathryn ~ Sep 25, 2001 ~ Bartlesville, OK

He`s trying to tell us that we still need Him. Jesus is the answer. We have strayed and we need to get our eyes focused on Jesus again. God Bless the Families that lost their loved ones. Jesus can still heal all our wounds if we will only let him. Thanks to all of our Heros and May God Bless everyone.

Another candle to light the way. In unity there is strength. Thoughts are with the heroic firemen, policemen and rescue workers as well as the victims and their families. May Congress grant posthumously the Congressional Medal of Honor to all those on United Flight 93, they are all heroes.

Jeff Flamholz ~ Sep 25, 2001 ~ Norwalk, CT

During this, the worst tragedy that has ever befallen upon American soil, it is comforting to see us all unite for the common good. We should be proud to be American and display our pride in the open for all to see. We need to demonstrate to the world that America may be wounded...deeply...but we are not to be counted out. We will rise to this new challenge and America will prevail! My prayers go out to all of those who have suffered in any way from the cowardly act of a few demented minds. Let them find some comfort from knowing that the deaths of these heroes has served to bring together these United States of America. United We Stand! God Bless America!

Ana ~ Sep 25, 2001 ~ California

My prayers for all those who were lost, for their families and friends, for America, and for the world.

Ashley ~ Sep 24, 2001 ~ Broken Arrow, Oklahoma

A few days after the attack, an old truck was parked in the entrance of a neighborhood with a flag attached and spray painted on the side of the truck was "These colors don`t run!" Things such as these are what makes me proud to be an American. The fact that people, even under such circumstances, will unite and exhibit such patriotism that it would warm even the coldest of hearts, brings me to tears. May God bless all of you who have lost family members or friends. And may the rest of us carry on to stand up and say that we will not surrender, but that we will unite, "one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

Kimby ~ Sep 24, 2001 ~ Dewey okla

May God Bless all those who lost their lives in this tragedy that struck the US. May they all rest in peace. May the families of each loved one lost find peace & comfort to overcome such a loss. Kimby

Christine and Curtis ~ Sep 24, 2001 ~ Myrtle Beach, SC

Our nation was founded as One Nation Under God. In previous years it seems our country has forgotten that. My heart goes out to all the families affected by this senseless tragedy. But out of this catastrophe let us come back to God as a nation, for it is he who is ultimately in control. I pray Lord that you would send comfort and strength to our nation, and that we would again truly be One Nation Under God.

TERESA ~ Sep 24, 2001 ~ INOLA, OKLAHOMA

David Stevens ~ Sep 24, 2001 ~ Harrison, Arkansas

Show Us the Way

Give us your wisdom
To know what is right;
Not to rest on our own,
But what`s good in your sight.

Help us to grow
Stronger each day;
And trust in you, Father
To show us the way.
