Candlelight Vigil

Liberty standing tall

More than ever our great country needs our prayers and support. Much of the world is in mourning and shock from the devasting, heartless slaughter of innocent victims by a source of evil that is incomprehensible. Please join our prayer vigil, there is power in numbers and even more power in prayers. If we join them together in numbers that circle this wounded planet, God will surely give back the healing and justice we all need so badly. Every candle lit with prayers will add another flicker of hope . Let's use the power we have to light this time of darkness and despair.

I think that we are all feeling a terrible sense of loss, sorrow, anger, and uncertainty, however, now is the time that we all pull together and make the most of each day, that we remain faithful in mankind`s ability to love and appreciate ALL people. We need to unite and stand strong as a nation, and remember not to act out our intense emotions in a negative way. God Bless all of the peole lost in this tragedy and their families, you will all be missed.

Fred ~ Sep 13, 2001 ~

No words are adequate at a time like this. The big question is why did this have to happen? How can anyone justify murder of innocents? How can we have so much hate in the world? I pray for the deceased and my condolences to the families who lost loved ones.

George and Judy ~ Sep 13, 2001 ~

How sad that acts like these are done in the name of God.. How sad.. We have to turn our saddness into love for one another, help each other through this, and do what we have to do to insure this will never happen again.. Love to all...

Irieman ~ Sep 13, 2001 ~

I can`t efficiently express what so many of us are feeling right now- Still a bit in shock and disbelief- It *is* times like these when we realize who those people are whom we care for, love, and have strong ties to. And all of a sudden so many `issues`

Mona ~ Sep 13, 2001 ~

bl ~ Sep 13, 2001 ~

If 150 are killed then we give each a second of silence. That silence lasts 2 and one half minutes. If 10,000, each person remembered for one second takes2 hours and 46 minutes. If 30,000, it takes 8 hours and 16 minutes. It is beyond the scope of normal human grief. My prayers to all

.........jan ~ Sep 13, 2001 ~

Never forget what has happened here. Take the time to remember those who have died in this tragedy and those who were their friends and family. Break out your flags and your symbols of patriotism to honor those who were lost. Let the world know that America`s spirit can never be broken. I, for one, refuse to be a hostage in my own country.

Harry ~ Sep 13, 2001 ~

No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main; if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friends or of thine own were; any man`s death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee. -John Donne

Dominic ~ Sep 13, 2001 ~

My deepest sympathies to all the families of the victims.

Mary B. ~ Sep 13, 2001 ~

Awful. Simply awful. The sight of the towers collapsing was more disturbing than anything else I have ever seen. I offer all of the victim`s families my deepest sympathies, and prayers to the rescue workers and the victims themselves. Godspeed to the rescue workers, and also those who are charged with righting this wrong. Awful ... simply awful.

Sunny ~ Sep 13, 2001 ~

My deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers are with all those who lost loved ones in this senseless tragedy. May God be with the many who are risking their lives, working endless hours in rescue efforts. They are all truly `America’s Heroes`. God grant us the SERENITY to accept the things we cannot change; COURAGE to change the things we can; and WISDOM to know the difference. Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace.

Karen Pimtzner ~ Sep 13, 2001 ~

Psalm 61 Hear my cry O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in thy tabernacle forever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings.

Linda ~ Sep 13, 2001 ~

I light this candle for those lost, their families, and for all those in the service who are wondering if they will have a tomorrow. I pray that they will not be in fear and if they do have to giv their lives, that it will not be in vain.

Anonymous Prayer ~ Sep 13, 2001 ~

To all people of the world, I light this candle in the ever lasting hope that we can embrass our, accept, and celebrate our diversity. Let us ensure that only those few who performed this horrendous act of terrorism, against all people, are the ones to face judgement by all. Let the pride of countries become the pride of being a part of the most beautiful, strongest force in the world...the pride of being an accepted, and needed member of the human race.

Dusty ~ Sep 13, 2001 ~

I pray that those who are still possibly traped that you give them comfort and strength and that you stay right there with them and let them know that they are not alone. I thank You, Father God, that a significant number of people were able to evacuate the World Trade Center towers before they crumbled, and that a relatively small number of people were in the area of the Pentagon that was attacked. I pray for those who lost family members and friends during this atrocious act. I pray for an awareness of the all loving God Who would have none perish, but Who would have all come to repentance and know Him. I pray that the hearts of men all around the world may be changed from self-centered hate to love. Please speak personally to each of us at our point of need.

Steven ~ Sep 13, 2001 ~

I would like to take a moment to send out my thoughts and prayers to the ones that have been affected by this tragedy. When tragedy strikes the best thing to do is to ban together and pray for better days to come. As I have seen families been torn apart do to the faceless people who did this, I can only sit and send out my prayers and thoughts for everyone that has lost or know someone who has lost a loved one due to this unhuman act of cowardice.
