Candlelight Vigil

Liberty standing tall

More than ever our great country needs our prayers and support. Much of the world is in mourning and shock from the devasting, heartless slaughter of innocent victims by a source of evil that is incomprehensible. Please join our prayer vigil, there is power in numbers and even more power in prayers. If we join them together in numbers that circle this wounded planet, God will surely give back the healing and justice we all need so badly. Every candle lit with prayers will add another flicker of hope . Let's use the power we have to light this time of darkness and despair.

MAY GOD BLESS ALL THOSE WHO DIED NEEDLESSLY AND THOSE THEY LEFT BEHIND TO REMEMBER. I DID NOT ANYONE WHO WAS PERSONALLY AFFECTED BY THIS TRAGEDY, BUT I BELIEVE THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE WHO FELT PERSONALLY AFFECTED BY THIS SENSELESS AND EVIL ACT. I STILL GO BACK THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AND READ ABOUT THE WONDERFUL AND HEROIC PEOPLE WHO CAME TOGETHER TO HELP THAT DAY. MY HEART GOES OUT TO NOT ONLY THEM, BUT THE LOVED ONES THAT WERE JUST GOING ABOUT A NORMAL WORK DAY AND HAD TO GIVE UP THEIR LIVES FOR BEING IN THE WRONG PLACE AT THE WRONG TIME. MAYBE NOT, BUT THEY ARE ALL HEROES AND I PRAY FOR THE FAMILIES OF THE VICTIMS ALL THE TIME. MAY GOD GIVE YOU PEACE AND STRENGTH TO MAKE GOOD OUT OF EVIL.

dylan uchtman ~ Sep 11, 2006 ~ perth australia

i would just like to say, as a 16 year old teenage boy, growing up in such a dangerous and hostile world, the people woh risked their lives in the 9/11 attacks deserve all the respect and rememberance on this day of sadness. i was only 11 when the attacks happned, at such a young age i had little knowlegde of even what the world trade centres were, let alone the planning, attacking and pure evil that was to go on that day.
as i have matured over the past 5 years i have discovered the absolute sadness of the 9/11 attacks and i offer my prayers up to god for those who not only lost their lives but for those who lost loved ones. i also offer my prayers up to all the innocent people in this world, who just like me , a 16 year old teenage boy trying to make sense of this crazy world, pray and hope to god that the world suffers no more acts of terrorism. whether this be in the middle east, USA, united kingdom or asia, let the terrorism stop. the mass murder of so many people is no way justified within any religion or beleif. it is a fact of life that everyone must have their own beleif, however, a beleif should not draw any human beings life from the world in order to carry out and act of faith.
can people not see, a highrise building can one day be replaced, but the lives lost within it cannot.

may god bless all involved in the 9/11 attacks and all who still mourn the loss of loved ones.

peace and love to the world.
